Butter Garlic Crockpot Chicken

Dinner
featured image

If you’re anything like me, you’re super busy and don’t have time every evening to cook a whole meal for your family.  The crockpot is a lifesaver, and this recipe is super quick & easy, and gets the approval of my husband & two younger kids (my oldest is vegan, so she doesn’t eat any of my meaty meals).

I prefer to use frozen chicken in my crockpot, especially when I know it’ll be in there cooking all day, since the meat comes out more tender.  This recipe calls for a family pack of chicken breasts (usually 6 breasts), but if you’re cooking for less than a family, or you don’t have room to store leftovers in a fridge or freezer, feel free to cut back the recipe.

This is literally how quick & easy this recipe is… soften 1 stick of butter, mix in garlic & herbs, smear butter mixture on both sides of each chicken breast, place in crockpot, and set on medium heat!  The first person home that day usually changes it to Keep Warm (the lowest setting), until we’re able to serve it for dinner.  The total cooking time in the crockpot is usually 7-9 hours.

I like to serve this with some steamed veggies… usually green beans or broccoli, since those are my go-to veggies to steam quickly in the microwave.

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!  Also, don’t forget to tag #KetoYum & #KetoYumFood when posting photos to your social media!
