If your family is anything like mine, leftovers don’t get eaten up, then they end up getting thrown away. I do not like wasting food, so I wanted to find new ways of eating leftovers, that don’t seem like just warming up leftovers.
So, I came up with this yummy concoction with the leftover turkey from Christmas, but this would also be great with chicken!
I started by laying down a bed of turkey in a bowl, then topped it off with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
Once the turkey (or chicken) is seasoned, I topped it off with pats of butter (for extra fat content & flavor) and slices of cheese, that were also leftovers from a cheese platter.
I then warmed the meal up in the microwave for 2 minutes. Please note that heating times may vary, but you’ll want to make sure that the butter & cheese are fully melted.
Once the food is warmed, it’s ready to eat! Green beans or other veggies are great on the side!
